As I have helped people design their homes or other architecture, I am asking these questions to create the design for easier building.
My process for design and producing construction documents is to create a 3D model of the project. Then take that model and do cuts to create
the 2D drawings. In that 3D model I try to create the walls, roofs and other structure with the right sizes with a representation of each material in those structures. Designing this way allows me to see and share with my clients a 3D model of the design so they can see and walk through the project.
